STUDENT UNIFORM/DRESS CODE POLICY
The
student dress code policy at Atlanta Unbound Academy is that students are
encouraged to wear an AUA uniform option daily. Uniforms are not mandatory.
However, students are expected to demonstrate the following expectations daily
with all wear: No hats/hoods on in the building (unless a schoolwide
celebration)No bookbag, purses, fanny packs, shoulder bags allowed on during
the school day (all bags must be left in specified areas during morning Tribe
Time)Shoulders are fully covered (no A-shirts/tank tops, cut off shirts, or
spaghetti strap shirts allowed)Shorts should be knee-length.

Items: Book
bags, backpacks, folders, or any other personal items must not display patches,
entertainment insignias, drawings, obscene words, gang signs, or any other item
that would be deemed inappropriate, offensive, or reflect negatively on AUA. Failure
to follow the uniform expectations will constitute a parental notification to
discuss the next steps and/or students will be provided appropriate wear when
necessary. All personal items should be labeled with the student’s name.
Students and their property are subject to search if deemed necessary by school
administration. Middle School Students will not be allowed to
carry backpacks/fanny packs/pouches in the building. To ensure student safety
in the hallways, backpacks with wheels will not be permitted.
Students will not be allowed to carry mini book bags, shoulder
bags, or purses.
